Since 1995, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, Executive Vice President of the Thai Red Cross Society, under Her Majesty's boundless and gracious kindness, has graciously entrusted the Thai Red Cross to manage medial staff to provide free eye treatment and eye surgery to needy people with cataracts, glaucoma and disease of eyelids.

The name of this unit
“The Princess Sirindhorn Mobile Eye Surgery Clinic”
was given by Her Royal Highness.

Every year, “The Princess Sirindhorn Mobile Eye Surgery Clinic” has spent over 15 million THB for providing free eye treatment services in rural areas of Thailand. In 2016, there were more than 10,000 patients received eye examination and performed operations for 4,000 patients.

The project operation is divided into 3 forms which are

• A permanent part of Red Cross Health Station No.6 Aranyaprathet, Sa Kaeo Province.

• An operation team at district hospitals non ophthalmologist.

• The Mobile Eye Surgery Clinic which is a mobile ophthalmology clinic on field trip to vulnerable areas.

Throughout 22 years The Thai Red Cross Mobile Eye Clinic has been offering free eye treatment for patients with eye disorder more than 185,000 people and perform surgeries more than 53,000 people

The Big Camera love sharing charity project aimed and objected to fundraising without any deductions for the Mobile Eye Surgery Clinic to help vulnerable patients who are waiting in hope to see again.
